CASA in the News
DFCS Pantry Project – A former employee of Carroll County CASA, Inc. came up with the initial idea to provide new/used luggage, backpacks and duffle bags for children entering, moving or exiting foster care. It is heartbreaking to think of children carrying their belongings around in trash bags. The community fully supported this program and CASA ended up with a room piled up the ceiling with donations. Carroll Main Street generously donated a room for CASA to store these items. The project began to expand quickly to include new/used clothing and personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and brushes/combs.

Can Hunger Project - Carroll County CASA, Inc. participated as a drop off location for the Can Hunger Project with the Community Foundation of West Georgia. Donations of canned goods and staple items were given to area food banks and soup kitchens during the holidays.

Court Booklet - CASA modified a court booklet from North Carolina to provide to families in Carroll County Juvenile court.  This booklet provides information regarding why they are in court, what to expect, information pages, and a glossary of terms.
